One-off Team Interventions
1. Value Proposition:
Coaches, staff and players need to better understand how to build a “shared mindset” to ensure stress doesn't negatively impact performance. By exploring that “something missing” part of performance the players can discover solutions to difficulties they may face together. Creating a shared mindset is the biggest untapped area of the game.
2. Context:
Watching games both home and away, I can see how stress is affecting player decision-making and performance. Inconsistent performance is not a football issue. Instead, it is due to unwanted stress. I’ve got an approach that will guarantee an increase in your team's performance. The low level of player trust - in the moment - is stopping players doing two jobs and collectively mastering your opponent.
3. The Solution:
Imagine a 2-hour team session that gets all players “on-the-same-page”. Equipping players with the tools to unlock new levels of trust that will lead to consistent performance, especially away from home. The process guarantees rapid and permanent change which builds greater resilience and performance.
4. My Background info:
As a former Academy footballer with Oxford United and a First-Class cricketer with Middlesex and Nottinghamshire CCC, I often wondered why my performance varied so significantly from one day to the next. Now with over 30 years of experience in elite sports, I’ve discovered how to achieve consistent performance with a one-off team intervention.
